Berry College Engagement Photos: A Beautiful Backdrop for a Love Story

I had the pleasure of capturing Adrienne and Lee’s Berry College engagement photos last month. Adrienne wanted a location that had an elegant, romantic and European vibe. As an Atlanta wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of photographing sessions all over Georgia and beyond. I knew Berry College was going to be the perfect engagement session location.
Discovering Berry College
Berry College, located just outside of Atlanta, is known for its breathtaking architecture and landscaping, reminiscent of a European estate. From the moment I arrived on campus, I was in awe of the beauty of the college grounds. With its towering buildings, picturesque fields, and serene ponds, Berry College offered so many backdrops for Adrienne and Lee’s engagement session.
During my scouting time, I discovered several hidden gems around the campus, each offering a unique setting for the couple’s portraits. We started the session at the iconic Ford Complex, capturing the elegant lines and historic charm of the surrounding buildings. We then found a road lined with oak trees and a field filled with wildlife. Lee even found a skunk, but we chose not to have him make a debut.
Adrienne and Lee’s Love Story
Adrienne and Lee’s love story is one of chance and laughter. Introduced by a mutual friend, the couple immediately hit it off with their shared senses of sarcasm, competitiveness, and humor. At first Adrienne was surprised at how different they were. Lee owns a pet turkey and a camouflage limo and Adrienne is definitely a girly girl. Despite their differences, they quickly found common ground and a deep connection. As Adrienne shared, “The past few years have flown by and yet somehow it feels like I have known him my whole life.”
Adrienne describes Lee as the “most caring, kind, driven, adventurous, energetic, funny, loyal, and dedicated person” she knows. The couple is now eagerly anticipating their upcoming wedding next May at the Revere. Their engagement session at Berry College captured the joy, playfulness, and deep love they share.
