Ansley ran up to Derek the day after they got baptized and said they have to be best friends. And now 6 years later they are married! According to their family and friends this has been a long time coming. They had their wedding at Duncan Estate in Greenville, SC.
Ansley and her girls were jamming out all day to Taylor Swift while Derek proceeded to rip his pants in the guys room. LOL. Luckily the wedding coordinator knew how to sew.
Their ceremony was intentional and God-centered. Following their precessional, they had a sermon and took communion. Don’t get me started on Ansley and Derek’s vows. Wow. When I tell you their words came from their heart, from the bottom of their soul, even that is an understatement. The words they spoke to one another, the promises they made to each other, left me teary-eyed and thinking “wow, I hope everyone finds their Ansley/Derek.”
When it came to their wedding party, you could tell they were one big, tight-knit group, mixed with family, high school friends, college friends … oh and imagine your best friend becoming your SISTER IN LAW. They had one close, hype, fun, awesome group surrounding them.
To put it simply, this was such a magical and glorious day that I was sad to say goodbye and part ways at the end of the night. YEP. I love my job and the amazing couples like Ansley and Derek that I get to serve!
